Shaping Strategic Priorities and Evaluating Future Direction for Global MNCAH Advocacy

Kinaura worked closely with the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH) to generate findings and develop recommendations to inform the development of its 2026–2030 strategic plan. Working closely with PMNCH leadership, Kinaura designed and led an evidence-based assessment to clarify future priorities, foundational principles, and strategic parameters at a pivotal moment for the partnership and the broader global health landscape.

Kinaura’s approach combined a review of key strategic and operational documents with in-depth consultations involving 27 stakeholders from 23 organizations, including donors, multilateral institutions, NGOs, and private-sector actors. This process surfaced clear insights into PMNCH’s unique value within the global health architecture, opportunities to strengthen its impact, and areas where transformational change would be required. Stakeholders emphasized the need to refine governance and organizational structures to reduce operational inefficiencies, while also calling for more focused, bold, and measurable advocacy outcomes to mobilize collective action.

The resulting analysis affirmed PMNCH’s critical role in advancing the health and rights of women, children, and adolescents amid intersecting challenges—including climate change, humanitarian crises, declining health financing, and the rise of anti-rights movements. Kinaura’s work provided PMNCH with a grounded, forward-looking foundation to guide strategic decision-making and position the partnership for greater relevance and impact in its next phase.
