Kinaura Partners has played a central role in shaping and strengthening the Global Financing Facility’s (GFF) Civil Society and Youth (CS/Y) engagement framework—supporting the GFF to more effectively resource, govern, and partner with civil society as a core pillar of its global health financing approach. Working closely with the GFF Secretariat and Investors Group, Kinaura supported the update of the CS/Y framework for 2021–2025, including a detailed costing analysis that helped secure $6M in funding for civil society organizations over a two-year period.
In 2024, Kinaura supported a second redesign of the CS/Y engagement framework to inform the GFF’s forthcoming strategy, contributing to commitments of $18M in future CS/Y funding. This work focused on strengthening alignment between engagement objectives, governance structures, and sustainable resourcing—ensuring civil society and youth actors could engage meaningfully and consistently in GFF processes.
In parallel, Kinaura has managed the Civil Society Coordinating Group (CSCG) Coordination Unit and Steering Committee through three major transition periods (2018, 2022, and 2024–25). Through this role, Kinaura supported the refinement of advocacy priorities, expansion of membership, and improvements in transparency, governance, and coordination. Together, these efforts demonstrate Kinaura’s expertise in designing engagement and governance models that strengthen civil society constituencies while aligning them with global financing and health system priorities.
