As a managing director at Kinaura Partners, Temina leads the Climate Mitigation & Adaptation portfolio and the Resilient Agri‑Food Systems portfolio. She brings deep expertise in strategy development, systems transformation, and innovation for climate‑resilient and equitable food systems. Her work spans agriculture innovation, capacity development, multilateral cooperation, and food systems transformation, with a strong emphasis on advancing locally led change across complex contexts.

At Kinaura, Temina supports global foundations, multilaterals, and accelerators to shape strategy, set global agendas, inform investment decisions, mobilize resources, and advance policy and advocacy efforts. Her partners include the Gates Foundation, Project Dandelion, the World Wildlife Fund, and others working at the forefront of climate and food systems change.

With more than 15 years of experience in the knowledge and innovation for development sector, Temina specializes in designing and implementing policy‑change efforts grounded in multi‑stakeholder analysis, coalition building, and partner engagement. She is particularly interested in how policy and innovation adoption intersect to drive progress in climate resilience, nutrition, and agricultural development.

Previously, Temina served as regional director for South Asia at CGIAR, the world’s largest publicly funded multilateral agricultural research organization. She also worked with the Aga Khan University and several Canadian universities, where she established strategic frameworks for ambitious $1‑billion fund development efforts and supported large‑scale programmatic and operational growth.

Temina holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Schulich School of Business at York University, an MA in development communication studies from the University of Calgary, and a BA in international politics from the University of Alberta. She has lived and worked in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Kenya, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Uganda, and Vietnam. She currently resides in the United Arab Emirates.

Outside of work, Temina enjoys reading, running, snorkelling, and tennis.
