As a managing director at Kinaura Partners, Rahima leads the Global Health Innovations team as well as Kinaura’s private sector practice. She has supported partners including the Gates Foundation, pharma companies, and diagnostic/med-tech companies. Rahima brings 17 years of expertise in increasing market access to innovative global health products for populations around the world. She leads portfolios around market access, infectious diseases, surveillance, pandemic preparedness, regional health manufacturing, product introduction and uptake, market shaping, innovative finance, and artificial intelligence.

Rahima also leads key internal strategic initiatives and runs Learning & Development at Kinaura, working to ensure all Kinaura’s consultants have the technical and leadership skills they need to best serve our partners. She is a certified facilitator and excels at leading retreats, workshops, and convenings for partners.

An experienced strategy consultant, Rahima has also worked extensively across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors across healthcare, social impact, and DEI. Previously, Rahima served as a senior market access advisor at USAID’s Center for Innovation and Impact in the Global Health Bureau. She also worked with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), where she partnered with Malawi’s Ministry of Health to introduce new vaccines and diagnostics and strengthen the vaccine delivery system and HIV diagnostics landscape. Rahima later moved to Myanmar to establish key market intelligence for TB diagnostics, strengthen the supplier landscape, and enhance identification of MDR-TB. Rahima began her career as a healthcare strategy consultant in New York for PwC Advisory.

Rahima holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and an MPH in global health from the Harvard School of Public Health. She also holds a B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in global health and healthcare management. She has lived and worked in Malawi, Myanmar, India, and Pakistan. She currently resides in Toronto, Canada.

Outside of work, Rahima is a yoga instructor, a career coach, and a private chef. She enjoys landscape photography, pottery, and painting very poorly.
