As a senior consultant at Kinaura Partners, Margie brings deep expertise in strategy development, research and analysis, coalition building, and project management. Working across several Kinaura teams, she leads and supports complex initiatives that integrate evidence, collaboration, and facilitation to advance partner priorities.
Margie has more than 15 years of experience in international development policy, analysis, advocacy, and research, with a focus on gender equity, women’s economic empowerment, and global health. She has supported programming and advocacy efforts across West and East Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East, and works with partners including the Gates Foundation and Project Dandelion to shape impactful strategies grounded in equity and inclusive development.
Margie has held roles across foundations, NGOs, and academic institutions, including the Gates Foundation, CARE, the University of California, Berkeley, American Jewish World Service (AJWS), and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). She has authored and led numerous research and analysis initiatives related to international development, gender, and humanitarian response, and has taught graduate‑level courses on climate change and international security policy, global wealth and inequality, and research methods at UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy. Her work includes contributing to the design and execution of global policy and advocacy strategies and collaborating with governments, civil society, coalitions, and multilateral institutions such as the United Nations and the International Labour Organization (ILO).
Margie holds an MPA, an MA in global studies, and a BA in history and art practice from UC Berkeley. She currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Outside of work, she is an enthusiastic gardener and avid hiker, and enjoys drawing, painting, and spending time with her family and three young children.
