As an engagement lead at Kinaura Partners, Katy brings strong expertise in strategy development, implementation planning, and cross‑organizational coordination. Within the Global Health Institutions, Strategies & Partnerships (GHISP) team, she collaborates closely with the Gates Foundation on policy, advocacy, and communications efforts, serving as a trusted thought partner on complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
With 15 years of experience in global health, development, and public policy, Katy has worked across philanthropy, government, the private sector, and international organizations. She combines strategic, analytical, and operational strengths, ranging from priority setting and implementation design to managing advocacy efforts in high‑visibility environments. She draws on strong knowledge of reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH), along with expertise in policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, research, and project management.
Katy has led projects and delivered results with organizations around the world, including the Global Financing Facility, Family Planning 2030, AVAC, the International Development Association (IDA), the World Bank, the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood, the State of Kansas, and the US Congress. She also spent six years at the Gates Foundation, working with the executive, global policy and advocacy, and MNCH teams.
Katy holds an MPP from King’s College London and a BA in political science with a minor in sociology from the University of Kansas. She lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, and enjoys cooking, discovering great food spots, exploring walking paths, and traveling.
