As a senior consultant at Kinaura Partners, Isabel brings expertise in product strategy, stakeholder engagement, and innovation ecosystem development. Working with the Africa Health team, she focuses on strengthening regional capacity and advancing equitable access to health technologies, with a particular emphasis on supporting locally led innovation.
Isabel collaborates with partners including the Gates Foundation to guide the design, introduction, and adoption of health technology solutions. With more than ten years of global experience across the health technology value chain, she has held roles in industry at Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson, and bioMérieux, as well as in global health innovation at Global Health Labs. She has led product development and market‑shaping initiatives across Latin America, South Asia, North America, Europe, and Africa, connecting insights from end users, governments, and industry to inform equitable product design and uptake.
Prior to joining Kinaura, Isabel served as a product manager at Global Health Labs — funded by Gates Ventures and partnering closely with the Gates Foundation — where she led product management for a novel diagnostic solution developed in collaboration with regional innovators. Across the value chain, she has contributed to the development and scale‑up of cloud‑based health platforms, connected devices, point‑of‑care diagnostics, and education and training programs.
Isabel holds a BSc in biomedical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and an MSc in international health policy and health economics from the London School of Economics. She is currently pursuing a dual‑career PhD in innovation, economics, and governance for sustainable development at UNU‑MERIT.
Outside of work, in addition to her PhD pursuits, Isabel enjoys playing soccer, hiking, traveling to visit family and friends, and photography.
