As an engagement lead at Kinaura Partners, Elijah (Eli) brings strong expertise in strategic project management, structured problem‑solving, and cross‑organizational coordination. He translates complex technical, market, and policy insights into clear, actionable strategies that support decision‑making and help align teams around leadership priorities across global health and development.
Eli has more than a decade of experience spanning global health market dynamics, innovative finance, and health innovation, particularly within infectious disease markets. He supports several Gates Foundation portfolios by coordinating strategy, synthesizing diverse inputs, and driving implementation across stakeholder groups. His background blends public‑ and private‑sector experience, enabling him to navigate complexity and accelerate progress on high‑impact initiatives.
Before joining Kinaura, Eli served as a senior market access advisor at USAID’s Center for Innovation and Impact, where he established public‑private partnerships and provided technical support on market dynamics and innovative finance across disease areas and country teams. Prior to USAID, he led evidence generation and market access operations at UrSure, Inc., a diagnostics startup later acquired by OraSure Technologies. He began his market access career with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) on the pediatric HIV access program.
Eli holds a BA in health and societies with a concentration in global health from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated from the Civic Scholars program, a four‑year track for students pursuing careers in social justice. After university, he lived and worked in Nicaragua before returning to his home state of Massachusetts.
Outside of work, Eli enjoys music, woodworking, and fly fishing – pursued with varying levels of skill and success. He and his wife, Caoimhe, are proud parents of two toddlers, Éamon and Róisín, and a 100‑pound Old English Sheepdog named Beasley.
