As COO at Kinaura Partners, Chris Hobbs brings deep expertise in organizational systems, talent development, and strategy implementation. He ensures Kinaura’s operating environment supports ambitious impact by strengthening internal infrastructure, evolving people and culture practices, and building the systems needed to translate organizational strategy into action.

With more than 20 years of experience in the social sector, Chris specializes in organizational capacity building, operational leadership, risk management, and developing high‑performing teams. At Kinaura, he has helped mature the firm’s operational backbone, recruit and retain top talent, and create new mechanisms for measuring and delivering on strategic priorities. He also helps shape new opportunities and expand partnerships, including work with the Gates Foundation, the UN Foundation, and UNICEF.

Prior to joining Kinaura Partners, Chris served as COO at Arabella Advisors, where he played a key role in advancing the philanthropic field’s adoption of fiscal sponsorship and the use of intermediaries to support innovation, advocacy, and donor collaboration. Earlier in his career, he worked in global health and development at PSI and served as a US Peace Corps Volunteer in Burkina Faso.

Chris holds a BS in business administration from the University of North Carolina. He currently lives in California.

Outside of work, he can often be found testing new recipes in the kitchen or exploring Los Angeles with his family.
