As the senior communications consultant at Kinaura Partners, Aliza drives both internal and external communications for the firm, while supporting clients such as the global education and Nigeria country office teams at the Gates Foundation and the Amref Ethiopia team. She delivers strategic thought leadership, communications strategy, and outreach to elevate external engagement and strengthen brand leadership.
Aliza brings over 17 years of expertise in media and global health communications, focusing on strategic communications for USAID-funded projects across Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. She has led health initiatives to boost engagement and visibility among host-country governments, partners, and key audiences.
Previously, Aliza served as the senior regional communications advisor at JSI, overseeing communications efforts across Tanzania, Uganda, Ghana, Ethiopia, Egypt, Yemen, and Kyrgyzstan. A three-time Telly Award winner, she was recognized for her video storytelling in Tanzania that highlighted efforts to eliminate HIV. Aliza has also held communications roles at Africare and several New York media outlets.
Aliza holds an MS in broadcast journalism from Columbia University and a BS in journalism from St. John’s University. She has lived and worked in New York and currently resides in Tanzania.
Outside of work, Aliza enjoys spending time with family, exploring new places through food, culture, and unexpected discoveries – and capturing those moments through photography.
