Akachi works with the Africa Team at Kinaura, supporting partners including the Gates Foundation. With more than 14 years of experience in health system strengthening (HSS), health policy, immunization, and primary health care (PHC), she excels in strategic planning, grant management, financial oversight, knowledge management, and organizational capacity building. Her work often integrates monitoring and evaluation (M&E), digital transformation, and change management to enhance healthcare and development systems.
Previously, Akachi served as a senior program manager at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), where she led Gates Foundation–funded programs to expand access to life‑saving vaccines and improve health system resilience. She has extensive experience in government relations and stakeholder engagement, consistently strengthening partnerships with policymakers, donors, and multilateral organizations to advance health reforms.
Akachi holds a BSc in anatomy from the University of Port Harcourt, an MPH from Glasgow Caledonian University in the United Kingdom, and an MBA from the Universidad Católica de Murcia in Spain. She has completed specialized training in supply chain management from the Chartered Management Institute (UK) and holds a leadership in management certification from the University of Washington.
Having lived or worked across Africa, the UK, and Europe, Akachi is passionate about mentorship, capacity building, and cross‑cultural leadership. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, connecting with people, and spending time with her family.
