Our work at Kinaura Partners is shaped by the depth and range of the people on our team. Anstes Agnew, a Senior Engagement Lead based in Nairobi, brings more than 15 years of experience at the intersection of public finance, health, and technology, with a focus that spans public investment planning, health financing, private-sector development, and digital and AI-enabled health solutions.
Anstes leads complex, multistakeholder engagements at Kinaura’s AI, Digital Technology, and Innovations portfolio, translating strategy into financing and delivery models that partners can act on. She currently directs AI strategy and policy initiatives, builds and coordinates funder coalitions, and designs financing mechanisms intended to accelerate global health research, development, and innovation. She also shapes engagement with Ministries of Health and Finance to strengthen investment planning and support effective implementation on the ground, working to advance public financing for global health R&D at the Gates Foundation and with other funders.
Before joining Kinaura, Anstes served as an embedded advisor to governments on health systems and public financial management. She has provided technical and managerial support to major donors, including the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the Global Fund, and she has led large-scale implementation efforts for organizations such as the Clinton Health Access Initiative.
Outside of work, Anstes can often be found on long walks catching up on podcasts or practicing yoga on her porch.
